marlboro red racing @ VuDu

Saturday night.Typical "Asa man ta?". Earllove just lost her celfon a day before & Rod his airplane ticket. But the laag continues... Sorry guys for waiting 45 mins. but I was at a party you know?!?!? guys?....
Anyways, thanks for waiting. We didn't know where to go so we decided to go to Vudu.Great! The traffic was super. But alas! Fate was on our side. We got a parking space. Rod was hungry so we ate at Ice Castle. (And that was the only time we emptied our pockets!) Because....Thank God for the Marlboro Red Racing School that's happening at the Vudu Lounge! We just registered and viola! Free entrance and a drink. A drink. Ya mga pare, mga ka-tsong, isang beer lang.
Ladies & Gentlemen, let's welcome...Nemo!...What? The fish? oops sorry, it was a band. They played electronic music. That's what they called it. Is it something like Techno? Gosh naman! Electronic daw o! It was hot! Pure Techno! And the others who didn't jive with the music? Pakialam ko! Basta ako enjoy ako! Then there was the nights raffle draw for Marlboro. The names of the lucky ones flashed over the 50 plus inch wide plasma. Wow talk about unique names! Mech, Vader, Booch, then came the last entry (which by the way did not make it due to ek ek reasons). The name is Backless Camelotes! Bwahaha! Talo silang lahat! (And why am I speaking tagalog anyways?) Ah ok taga-Manila naman pala ang Nemo band, kaya pala.
Then the night became hotter when Dj who-was-it?-blah-blah-blah hit the cd and the Marlboro girls danced on the stage! Everyone was really into it now (the 10% crowd who actually danced). I really didn't actually danced. Just my head popping, you know like the dog that sits at the back of the car...yung decor? Then Rod and I maanghang na ang aming mga mata, tuhod ay nangungurog na, at ang baho ng sigarilyo'y nataput na sa aming mga damit! we called it quits. Wow talk about tag-uano o cebgalog! (parang tapsilog ah?).
That was the first libre laag of all time! Where next? nanganad pud mo da!

My Sassy Girl Posted by Hello

You've gotta love this Korean film! Maybe it's the storyline or the actors. Jeon Ji-Hyun was impressive. The actors and director really did a good job.
The timing, the humor, the aaarghhh! I've seen it a couple of times and I'm never bored. It's just a complicated love story gone worse.
But in the end it's full of ew! Duh! As if I guessed the ending. One of my favorites. (And you'd better be a fast subtitle reader like me!) I got fast watching Shaolin movies when I was a kid.
Tips on subtitle reading :
1) read the subtitle first (and you better be quick!)
2) after reading, look at the movie with your mouth wide open. (Option: dripping saliva)

CIE CCNA Food Trippers Posted by Hello

It all started with a question "Asa ta kaon?" and history took its course. The lucky resto was AA at Lahug. This was the first time everyone really got to know each other. In the previous sems, the guys were just hi's and hello's. After that, we were friendsters, chatmates, textmates, chikkadorks, and of course, food trippers. Last sem, we did it every Thursdays. Now it's on Wednesdays. The resto's we went were affordable and always different. The guys loved to discover new meals (& eating habits) and always end up busog. First it was grills, then buffets, shakes, iced coffees, pastas, & Steve's ceasar salad when you eat, you get to join the divide-divide sa bayad...
Then we went beyond food tripping. Earllove & Steve decided to go Ratsky's. :P It was not that clear since Eman said this and Earllove said that. I went there on Saturday. It was Ratsky's anniversary and Globe Girlfriend's launching. Sad to say, a few guys went there. Rod wore slippers, Earllove brought her friend Janet & Steve went minus 80gb harddrive. Finally, Earllove, Janet & Steve went in at 12 midnight. Rod and I drank coffee at Starbucks. That might be the end as Ferdie said "Disco ta!".
Oh, the girl in red, Anna Michelle aka Mitch, is not part of the food trippers coz she's still a minor...este student. And teacher Mike, the guy on the left, should go with us more often. He just went with us once at Bigby's Ayala.
Hope our food trip will not end only in our class but will continue after we graduate. Asa ta kaon?:D

Smallville and other heavy stuff

Hi! This is my first time doing blogs and other stuff. Oh well. I'll just have a run through on what's going on in my mind right now. Smallville. My favorite tv show. I don't know but maybe it goes way back when I started wearing eyeglasses. Bugger. My aunt once told me "Hey you look like that superhero from a comic book". "Duh? What's the name?" I replied pretending not to know. "Si Superman ba?" Wow...talk about mistaken identity. "Auntie, Superman doesn't wear eyeglasses but Clark Kent does." And she was like taken-aback "Clark who?". And the rest was history. Sorry guys but Superman was, is and will be my favorite superhero. Why? I don't know. Maybe it was my first comic book which I shared with my twin brother. Clark has a twin?!?!? toink...duh? I do and Clark doesn't.
I love Superman. I got toys, comic books, dvd's, t-shirt and other stuff which I collected all these years. Even my 8 year old son likes him. Hmmmm. But he's inclined to be more of a James Bond than Superman. He even combs his hair like Bond! Pierce Brosnan really made an impact on my kid. Poor Brosnan...
I also love the soundtrack of Smallville. Cool, young and vibrant. The cast? I love Kristin Kreuk and Allison Mack. Both have different personalities and if ever they ask me who I am, I'll just give my answer charmingly..."Bond...James Bond". Gosh! My son's infecting me now.
But you know why Smallville is such a hit? It's more pinoy. Yes. The attitude of Clark, the close family union, simple living, and of course, the obviously cute-and-pinoyish love story.
And for those who haven't seen or heard of Smallville...why bother reading this article?
