I have learned many things in life, through signs, through people, through stories. Even comic books...hehe. It's the kind that speaks to you in languages you yourself can only explain. Life's not that easy. Life's not that generous too. You can have one but not the other. Why? That baffles me. Balancing your life means you live in mediocrity. Why can't you be at the up and up like Henry Sy or Lucio Tan or Jaime Zobel De Ayala? Why limit yourself to be only you?
Even if every one tells you that you can't be like them, why limit yourself to be just at the mediocre? Is God playing favoritism? Let me explain...
Does a parent want their children to suffer so they could live a happy life? Do you have to live a life that's mediocre that in the end you have to tell your children that "you have a job that's not really good so that your children will have a good life?"
Then what happens? It's going to be a cycle. Your children will be like you, never going to have a good job so that their children will have a good life? Is that what we want? We want our children to have a good life but they have to repeat the cycle of suffering so that their children will have a good life. Is that fair? For the first 20 years you have a good life because your parents suffered. Then when you will be a parent, you will suffer again so that your children will have a good life. Is that what we want? When will our children live to have a good life when our lives should be in the balance? You have to suffer so that your children will have a good life - that's the rule. So after the children will have a good life, here comes work then they suffer so that their children will have a good life.
Is that fair? But then God has plans. Plans we don't know. Plans when we are at our weakest, He will strengthen us. He will give us answers when we are at our weakest. God has plans. That...we will have to be surprised.
Because ... God will make a way.
